We’re looking for a Project Engineer to join our growing Digital Transformation Team. This team drives technology change and innovation across our diverse customer base, delivering strategic IT solutions that enhance learning, efficiency, and security.
As a Project Engineer, you’ll act as an extension of our customers’ teams, supporting and delivering a wide range of IT services and projects. You’ll work with leading technologies from Microsoft, Apple, Google, Dell, HPE, Lenovo, and Cisco, while helping schools and organisations get the very best from their IT.

Key Responsibilities
Project Delivery & Coordination
- Support the planning, scheduling, and delivery of technology projects, ensuring objectives and timelines are met.
- Coordinate resources and communication between internal teams, external partners, and customers.
- Track progress, maintain project documentation, and report updates to the Head of Digital Transformation and stakeholders.
- Identify and resolve issues proactively to keep projects on track.
- Contribute to post-project reviews and continuous improvement.
On-Site Support
- Attend customer sites for scheduled visits, emergency callouts, and project delivery.
- Implement IT projects such as infrastructure upgrades, device deployments, network improvements, and service rollouts.
- Provide hands-on support, troubleshooting, and user training to aid adoption and confidence.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and end users.
Remote Support
- Deliver remote support for incidents, service requests, and project tasks across customer environments.
- Administer and configure IT systems including Microsoft 365, Azure, Windows Server, macOS, iOS, and hybrid solutions.
- Monitor systems proactively to ensure availability and performance.
- Document all work clearly and consistently.
- Deliver remote training and guidance to help users get the most from new solutions.
About You
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has strong technical knowledge in Windows OS, macOS, iOS, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Azure, Group Policy, and networking concepts.
- Is confident troubleshooting across a range of devices and platforms.
- Demonstrates excellent communication skills, with the ability to support users of all backgrounds.
- Enjoys solving problems and is proactive in seeking improvements.
- Can work independently while being a strong team player.
- Is passionate about customer service and building lasting relationships.
Qualifications & Experience (Essential)
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 administration and support.
- Experience supporting Windows and Apple environments.
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals and server administration.
- Proven experience in project or service delivery.
Desirable
- Industry certifications (Microsoft, Apple, ITIL, Prince2, etc.).
- Experience within the education sector.
- Familiarity with cloud migrations and hybrid infrastructures.

Additional Information
- Travel to customer sites will be required, so a full UK driving licence is essential.
- All employees are responsible for assisting iCT4 to ensure and maintain compliance with iCT4’s ISMS (Information Security Management System) and all ISO Standards, policies and procedures.
