We've some very exciting news to share

UK schools benefit from major ICT acquisition in South West.

iCT4, a leading specialist provider of education-specific ICT services with headquarters in Cornwall, has announced the acquisition of Praestantia Technology, a Somerset-based IT Managed Service Provider.

iCT4 is known for its approachable, plain-speaking approach to tech support, partnering with hundreds of schools and MATs across the South West, the Midlands and the wider UK.

The news promises to significantly increase iCT4’s capacity, as they become the largest EdTech-specific MSP based in the South West. This will enable their passionate team of experts to reach more schools on their mission to help school leaders make budgets go further, with innovative ways to meet the demands of the modern classroom.

The combined team of 50 highly experienced and skilled EdTech minds will support over 300 schools and expand and develop their services into related areas of education technology.

The acquisition provides several tangible benefits to all customers, including access to a larger team with a wider skill set, extensive savings on hardware from all the big names in tech, in-house Management Information Systems (MIS) experts, an expanded service desk team, and fully managed in-house internet services (including broadband, cybersecurity tools, content filtering and KCSiE-compliant safeguarding monitoring).

Glyn Pascoe, Managing Director at iCT4, confirmed that it's very much business as usual for both organisations, and they are focusing on improvements that centre on the client: “We have a longstanding relationship with Praestantia and have been collaborating together for years. We decided that now is the right time to combine our expertise and grow together to take our capabilities to the next level. We’re delighted to welcome their team on board and integrate their skill sets and knowledge.”

Rhys Gwillym, Managing Director at Praestantia, commented: “We're thrilled to have joined the iCT4 family. Having worked with Glyn and Josh for the last 12 years, combining forces is something we have always wanted to embrace, and this deal formalises this. The core values and culture of Praestantia perfectly matches that of iCT4, and I can’t wait to see what the future holds.”

iCT4 will now have offices in Cornwall, Somerset and Gloucestershire with engineers based strategically across the UK for a fast, personalised and attentive response.
